My name is Megan, and I am a 'crafter of all trades', I have been crafting since I was a kid. My Great Aunt taught me to knit when I was 8, and my mom introduced me to needlepoint not long after. Needless to say, crafting with my family sparked a love of fiber arts that never went away.

In 2008 I decided to branch out even further, and try to learn how to crochet. I started off watching YouTube videos and practicing simple stitches.

By 2019 I was writing my own patterns!

These days I mostly focus on crochet, cross stitch and knitting. I also dabble in a variety of other crafts including; sewing, embroidery, needlepoint, paper crafting, painting, drawing, coloring, making miniatures, needle felting, resin work, diamond dotting, and jewelry making.

I had started selling my cross stitch patterns on Etsy in 2017 under the name The Spotted Acorn. Then, in 2018 I decided to start streaming myself making my crafts live on Twitch. It was on Twitch that "The MOAT" (aka Megan Of All Trades) was born!

I soon found myself creating custom crochet characters and selling them. What had started off as a hobby, had grown into a crafting community, and a business.
